Estate Administration

When a loved one passes away, the assets in the Trust need to be managed and distributed through Trust Administration.  During the Trust Administration process, the successor Trustee will need to do any of the following, depending on the particular circumstance:

  •  Notice to the beneficiaries of the Trust, heirs under the Will, and/or heirs at law
  • Inventory and appraisal of the estate assets
  • Payment of estate debt to rightful creditors
  • Filing a petition with the proper California Probate Court (if necessary)
  • Sale of estate assets
  • Payment of estate taxes, if applicable
  • Accountings
  • Final distribution of assets to heirs

Our Firm is committed to helping the loved ones left behind through the grieving process and administering the Trust Estate.
